The Legend of Takemaru

The Legend of Takemaru is a 2D action platformer

As the player, you take on the role as Takemaru, an agile and skilled swordsman with a special hidden power. One night, a mysterious tower appears out of nowhere. Sensing an evil presence from within, Takemaru sets off on his quest to the Tower of Turmoil to vanquish the evil force from within. But as he ascends further up the tower, he finds out not everything is as it seems.

Gameplay:

As Takemaru, you jump, attack enemies, and collect keys to proceed to the next room of the tower. Each floor has 4 rooms, and the start of every floor is a checkpoint. If you get hit 3 times you lose a life. Lose all your lives and it's game over. 

Keyboard Controls:

A: Move left
D: Move right
S: Attack
W: Look up
Space: Jump
Shift: Pause

XBOX 360 Gamepad Controls:

D-pad: Move left/right and look up
X/Y: Attack
A/B: Jump
Start: Pause
